Woodworking has been an interest of mine since High School. After many years of experimenting with a lot of different woodworking I chose the band saw type boxes as my main work area. They do not quite require the precision of regular box construction but they allow me to

showcase the many wonderful colors and textures of domestic and exotic hardwoods.

The discovery of burls during a trip to the Pacific Northwest expanded my box repertoire. These strange but beautiful growths on the side and bottom of trees require special handling because of their convoluted growth but I find the extra work worthwhile because they yield unique and beautiful boxes.
